Andrew “Andy” Hempel is a fifth generation Texan who grew up in Houston, Texas. He majored in studio art and design at Del Mar College in Corpus Christi and Palomar College in San Marcos, California. He enjoys outdoor activities, watersports, snow skiing, and sailing. He also enjoys travel and studying the history of interesting places.

Andy brings his love of the outdoors and artistic talents to his custom home building. He builds homes with an emphasis on superior structural quality and a wide variety of features for the individual homeowner.

Andy’s thirty-five years of experience in the building industry are varied and include positions as an independent contractor, project manager, utility construction manager, superintendent, estimator, engineering consultant and most importantly, a custom home builder. Andy’s extensive experience and knowledge of the homebuilding industry provides an exceptional resource for each homeowner.

Andy enjoys custom home building in communities around Austin and Lake Travis because it allows for creativity and innovation. “I like to see that each home fits the native environment as well as reflecting the personality of the homeowner.” This is the basis of our motto, “ Homes of Distinction in the Texas Hill Country.”

 
Mike Russell - Construction Manager

Mike Russell has served as construction manager for Prestige Custom Homes since February ,1999. Mike spends most of his time on location at our job sites and oversees all aspects of construction. He serves as a liaison for contractors at each stage of the construction process handling scheduling and quality control.

In addition to working with the various specialty contractors, Mike works with each individual homeowner to see that all of the specific design details are completed with an eye to excellence in construction. Mike is married and enjoys golf, travel, and riding his motorcycle.

Jennifer manages the various accounting functions and office administration for Prestige Custom Homes. Besides her various office duties, she assists with marketing and communication with homeowners and contractors.

Jennifer graduated from UT Austin and worked in education and banking prior to joining the team at Prestige Custom Homes.
